the DZK shop is playing NCAA fantasy basketball on ESPN… aaaand, so far we are ranked #1 with 100%! woot woot! But of course, only 2 games have been played so far, so there’s still quite a bit to go.

McLobster or McSushi anyone??

Rumors circulating abound that McDonalds plans on releasing a McLobster sandwich and a McSushi menu! Unfortunately, those are just rumors. I actually was excited about a McLobster sandwich though… especially if it looks like this one! But McSushi??? Are you serious… worst rumor ever!

zomg… Justin Bieber cut his hair!

I thought I’d never write about this… and this may be a bit of old news, but Mr. Biebs has gotten a haircut! I mean, this is making headlines everywhere, so I might as well throw in my 2 cents over it…

There are certain qualities celebrities have that makes them, them. I see Justin Bieber’s hair as being one of those qualities that makes him truly, him. Before it was the Bieber look, it was pretty much considered an Emo look, right?? err minus the eyeliner

Now that he’s gotten a haircut, there is no Bieber look anymore! Is there?? Cuz now he’s got an Ellen DeGeneres look.

So now, what’s what?? Is there an emo look? Or a Bieber look anymore?? Who knows, who cares.

Rain City Superheroes in the Northwest!

Phoenix Jones, Red Dragon, and Buster Doe are 3 of 10 ‘superheroes’ from Seattle. They walk the streets at night looking out for trouble makers to help make the city a better place to be in. Awesome!

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A local man said he came within seconds of having his car broken into, and perhaps stolen, until a real-life “superhero” came to his aid, wearing tights, a mask and a skin-tight super suit.

The encounter started in Lynnwood Sunday evening when a man, who asked to be identified only as Dan, was walking back to his car in a parking lot when he saw a man with a metal strip trying to pry open his car.

“He started sticking it down between the window and the rubber strip,” said Dan.

Dan began to call 911, but said help arrived before he even finished dialing.

“From the right, this guy comes dashing in, wearing this skin-tight rubber, black and gold suit, and starts chasing him away,” said Dan.

What Dan didn’t know is that just about every night, an anonymous Seattle man strolls into a comic store, enters a hidden back room and emerges transformed.

“My name is Phoenix Jones,” said the man.

The man is the hero Dan’s been trying to tell his friends about.

“People are saying, ‘No way, dude, you were probably drunk,’” said Dan.

But the superhero sounded familiar to Ming Laven. She had heard about how he and the other eight members of his Rain City Superhero crime fighting movement walk the street, eyes out for crime and prepared to fight it.

On Monday night, the fully-clad superhero and Dan met.

“That’s crazy. Nice to meet you, brother. Nice to meet you. That’s insane,” said Dan, who finally got a close-up look at his savior.

“Phoenix” explained his whole super suit, including bullet-proof vest and stab plates, to Dan.

“That’s a Taser night stick. And I have Mace slash tear gas over here,” said Phoenix.

Then it was time for Phoenix to get back out on the streets, maybe not quite a super man, but an extraordinary one.

“So when I walk into a neighborhood, criminals leave because they see the suit,” said Phoenix. “I symbolize that the average person doesn’t have to walk around and see bad things and do nothing.”

Phoenix said since he started his crime-fighting crusade nine months ago, he’s been stabbed, and had a gun pulled on him a few times, but received no serious injuries.

Unfortunately, he didn’t catch up with the man who was breaking into Dan’s car.

Traffic stop leads to big pot bust in Portland!

KPTV — PORTLAND, Ore. — A Multnomah County patrol sergeant on routine patrol arrested two people accused of moving 54 pounds of marijuana through the city.

Lt. Mary Lindstrand says Sgt. Tim Wonacott pulled over Anthony Hoang along Interstate 405 near the Everett Street exit for committing a traffic violation. His passenger, Tracy Nguyen, was also arrested.

When Wonacott approached the silver BMW, he could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle, Lindstrand says.

Packed inside the small car were several boxes fully loaded with 54 pounds of pot. Lindstrand says the drugs were individually packaged into 1-pound bags.

The way the material was packaged, Lindstrand says, made it clear the marijuana was being moved for delivery.

The value of the pot is valued at $150,000 to $200,000, deputies say.

Both suspects are being charged with possession of marijuana and delivery of marijuana.

Nguyen appeared in Multnomah County court Thursday afternoon and plead not guilty to the counts.

Hoang is expected to be arraigned on Friday afternoon.

This homeless man has a golden voice and is offered a house and job

Ted Williams has fallen on hard times. A former radio announcer, he has felt the wrath of what alcohol and drugs can do. He was discovered on the sides of the road holding his cardboard sign acclaiming a “God given gift of voice.” Well, he certainly does have a great talent, and it possibly wouldn’t have been known if Doral Chenoweth hadn’t posted the video that went viral.

Ted has already received offers from the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers (a house and job), MTV, NFL Films, etc e tc. The best reward from all this? Seeing his 90 year old mother after 10 years. Looks like Ted should be set for life with the many offers he’s receiving. Hopefully his life takes a turn for the good now, and he does not fall victim to alcohol and drugs again. Goodluck Ted.

Antoine Dodson song a best seller in iTunes

This may seem like old news, but remember the news about Antoine Dodson and the rapist breaking in their home? Remember the auto-tuned remix of that video? Well, that remix song titled ‘Bed Intruder Song’ is now among the top downloads in iTunes, making it to the Best-Seller category!

According to USWeekly, Dodson moved his sister and her children into a new home in a newly built housing edition.

“We found a house!” Antoine told Us Weekly in an interview. “We are excited … It’s for my whole family. And these are new houses that have just been built.”

Dodson, who is paying for the new home from proceeds he earned after musicians the Gregory Brothers turned his “We Gon Find You” tirade into an Auto-Tuned song that hit the top 50 iTunes list, states that although the situation surrounding his new found fame was traumatic, he doesn’t regret doing the now infamous interview.

“I still can’t believe this,” Dodson continues in the interview. “Even though my life is moving forward, it’s at a standstill in my mind. I’m like, ‘Wow! All of this is happening just off a news interview! I was angry!” I was like, ‘I can’t believe this!’ I was really mad and everybody took the video and put it all out there. Now I’m glad that the world knows what’s going on so they won’t sweep this under the rug. This will bring pressure on the police department and investigators investigating the case.”

Even after all of the new found fame and spotlight on the incident, Dodson states that police still have no leads.

For those thinking that Dodson plans on dropping an album, think again.

Dodson states that he plans on returning to school and also plans to one day open his own hair salon or hotel.

“I signed up to finish my Associate’s Degree in business,” Dodson said. “That way I can take everything to the next level and be on a more professional level.”
