Portland on Forbes list of America’s Best Downtowns

Portland has made the Forbes list of America’s best downtowns! This, and the recent filming of new shows in the area (Grimm, Portlandia, etc) hopefully brings in more visitors for what Portland is, and not just because of being sales tax free.

When it comes to cities, Portland, Ore., is a unique urban playground of high-end culture, green living and DIY arts scenes. But for a taste of Portland’s best, natives point to the city’s downtown area. There you’ll find independent live theater, beautiful parks, the largest independent, used bookstore in the country and some of the best doughnut shops on the Pacific Coast (not to mention a plethora of Portland’s celebrated food trucks).

UFC 141 Lesnar vs Overeem

We’ve got another huge fight coming this Friday, December 30, 2011. Heavyweights Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem – UFC 141! After seeing Lesnar’s last two fights, I’m leaning towards Overeem. Check out the pre-fight interviews!

Lesnar – “He’ll know really quick that he’s got a fight on his hands.”

Official Badass Game – Diablo 3

I’ve been waiting eons for Diablo 3 by Blizzard to come out, and it looks like it might be coming out soon! Well, at least that’s what my senses are telling me from today’s release of the Diablo 3 cinematic intro at the Spike TV Video Game Awards. Check out the intro, and tell me you’re not as excited as I am! Just try!

UFC 140 Lyoto Machida vs Jon Jones

Jon “Bones” Jones vs Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida! UFC 140 December 10, 2011!! It’s the young Jones’ unorthodox style w/ dangerous striking vs Machida’s elusiveness. There’s no doubt that this will be a fun fight to watch. I’m undecided on who I want to win, but I think Jones has the edge with just his reach (longest reach in the UFC) at 84.5″ vs Machida’s 74″. Who do you think will be the champ??
