Alma by Rodrigo Blaas

By dezak  //  Art, Cool  //  1 Comment

Alma is a short animation film by first time director Rodrigo Blaas (a Pixar animator). Alma has won many awards and has been nominated for Best Animation Shortfilm in Spain. It’s a bit eerie, with that eeriness similarity to Coraline (produced by Laika which is in Portland btw). If you love strange, awkward, eerie things, or just good creative stuff, then you’ll enjoy Alma.

Fly Humor by Magnes Muhr

By dezak  //  Art, Cool, Funny  //  No Comments

Magnes Muhr is a photographer from Sweden. In his spare time, he likes playing with musca domestica linnaeus. Apparently he has a sense of humor. I give his fly photography an awkward 2 thumbs up.

Jean-Paul Goude must have been inspired by Prokofiev’s “Romeo & Juliet” when working with Chanel Egoïste.

official badass movie alert – The Cup of Tears!

By dezak  //  Art, Cool  //  No Comments

update Nov. 28 – I just watched Ninja Assassin last night. very badass and somewhat bad acting too, but overall impressive!

so the movie Ninja Assassin came out today, and I have yet to watch it. wondering what other movies are coming out soon, I came across the trailer for The Cup of Tears. And wow… this movie looks epic! Reminds me of Shinobi, a very very cool Japanese movie of NINJAS mixed with X-MEN effects. Anyway, check out The Cup of Tears trailer!

The True Ending for Our Fairy Tale Princesses

By dezak  //  Art, Cool, Funny  //  No Comments

We all grew up to some sort of fairy tales, and 99.9% of those told or shown to us have obviously been sugar coated. Some of the fairy tales never do have a happy ending, and the pictures below represent the latter.

Cinderella

Snow White

Rapunzel

Little Red Riding Hood

Sleeping Beauty

Jazmine

Princess Belle
