What do people fear more than death??
by dezak on May.08, 2010, under Art, Cool
Many common fears are heights, enclosed spaces, water, snakes, public speaking, and death. But what’s the most common fear?? Spiders! I am one of an arachnophobe myself and have been played pranks on numerous times. Remember though, “It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.” Here is a wonderful short film called “Spider” by Nash Edgerton & David Michôd.
A very cool short video called “Pixels” by Patrick Jean

Trippy Album Cover for MGMT’s “Congratulations”
by dezak on Feb.25, 2010, under Art, Cool

I was taking an architectural art class and after missing a field trip, I ran into a classmate whom showed me his artwork. It consisted of abstract and non-representational visuals, somewhat along the lines of shroomish hallucinogenic. It was cool and different. When I saw MGMT’s album cover for “Congratulations”, it totally reminded me of my classmate’s artwork. Groovy trippy shroomy.

Alma by Rodrigo Blaas
by dezak on Jan.16, 2010, under Art, Cool
Alma is a short animation film by first time director Rodrigo Blaas (a Pixar animator). Alma has won many awards and has been nominated for Best Animation Shortfilm in Spain. It’s a bit eerie, with that eeriness similarity to Coraline (produced by Laika which is in Portland btw). If you love strange, awkward, eerie things, or just good creative stuff, then you’ll enjoy Alma.
Fly Humor by Magnes Muhr

Magnes Muhr is a photographer from Sweden. In his spare time, he likes playing with musca domestica linnaeus. Apparently he has a sense of humor. I give his fly photography an awkward 2 thumbs up.

a classic Chanel Egoïste (1990)

Jean-Paul Goude must have been inspired by Prokofiev’s “Romeo & Juliet” when working with Chanel Egoïste.
